DoD Security Policy Group Project
This artifact showcases a comprehensive security policy document developed as part of a group assignment for IT 24000‑300: Developing and Implementing Security Policies. Working with two classmates, I helped create a full set of organizational security policies for a fictional company required to meet Department of Defense (DoD) security standards. The project simulated the responsibilities of a real‑world security team tasked with building policies from the ground up for an environment with strict federal compliance requirements.
The document includes policies covering access control, acceptable use, physical security, incident response, risk management, and compliance expectations. Our team collaborated to ensure the policies were consistent, enforceable, and aligned with DoD principles such as least privilege, confidentiality, and controlled access to sensitive information. This project strengthened my ability to write clear, structured security documentation and apply cybersecurity concepts in a realistic organizational context.
On this page, the full policy document is available as a PDF, with an embedded viewer for easy reading and an option to download the file
